Position Type : Full-Time (37.5 hours/week), Non-Exempt Work
Setting: Hybrid (in office and at homes/community locations)
Reports To: Director of Family Therapy Services Pay Range:
$25-$27/hour Total Compensation : In addition to standard pay,

wellness Position Overview: Please note: this position is
contingent upon the successful award of a contract and availability
of funding . Employment cannot be guaranteed until both the
contract and necessary funding are secured. JFS is looking for a
compassionate, mission-driven individual to join the Family Therapy
Services team as an Intake Specialist. The Intake Specialist plays
an integral role on the team and engages families referred by
juvenile justice and child welfare systems, completing intakes and
assessing the strengths and needs among youth (ages 6 to 18 years
old) and their families. The role also supports the Family
Therapists on the team to provide additional resources and
referrals to families when needed. This position reports directly
to the Director of Family Therapy Services and works closely with
the Family Therapists and Program Assistant. This role will help
our team provide in-home and on-site support through crisis
intervention, assessment and follow up, and internal and external
referrals. Responsibilities : Conduct intake appointments and
assessments, including administering pre and post surveys Support
Family Therapists in developing strength-based family treatment
plans Provide crisis intervention and stabilization as needed
Provide linkages and referrals as needed for families Attend
training and educational opportunities in the unique aspects of the
culture, common family dynamics, or frequently seen issues of
clients in program Complete documentation congruent with the Brief
Strategic Family Therapy model, as well as ensure compliance with
agency and contractual documentation expectations Participate in
consultation sessions and in supervision and other agency related
meetings All other duties as assigned Skills/Experience/Abilities
That Are a Must-Have: At least two years’ experience providing
services to youth and families or equivalent required Bilingual
Required, Spanish Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and
criminal history background check Must have a valid CA driver's
license, insurance, a reliable personal vehicle, and a willingness
to travel off-site Demonstrates the ability to handle stressful and
crises tactfully and appropriately Excellent written and verbal
communication skills Skills/Abilities We’d Like You to Have :
Bachelor’s level education in the areas of Psychology, Social Work,
or related field preferred Prior experience working with youth in
custody or in probation facilities preferred Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to sit, talk and listen. The employee frequently is
required to stand, walk, use hands and arms to type on a keyboard,
handle papers, and reach for the phone. Employees must occasionally
lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move
