Job Description:

Description: A steel company that manufactures steel windows and doors for residential customers is seeking a Tester to build steel parts for window sash/door panel openings to ensure it meets quality standards for customers. --- Ensures paint matches --- Tests bifold doors/windows, sliders, and active doors and windows --- Tests hardware (locks, hinges, etc) for smooth operation --- Tests thresholds for functionality --- Ensures everything is square and plumb. --- Makes necessary adjustments to fix any functionality issues or sends back to correct work center. --- Wears required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensures safe operation of all equipment. --- Works on Special projects and performs other duties as assigned. (5-10%) Skills: measuring tools, tape measure, ruler reading, assembler, Assembly, manufacturing, Powertools, hand tool, assembly line, quality check, visual inspection Top Skills Details: measuring tools,tape measure,ruler reading Additional Skills & Qualifications: --- MUST have at least 6 months -1 year experience for carpentry or building similar equipment with great attention to detail --- Able to interpret instructions both written and oral. --- Able to work in a team with co-workers to resolve work-related issues. --- Knowledge of basic shop math, including the ability to measure to 1/32". --- Able to learn to read, understand, and interpret production drawings and shop orders.
