Position LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find
a qualified Urgent Care NP in California! Our client in California
seeks an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 6-day assignment
starting Feb 16, 2026. This role involves working three 10-hour
shifts per week, managing 3-4 low acuity patients hourly,
performing complex laceration repairs, conducting neonatal and
pediatric assessments, reading X-rays, and providing care in both
the fast track ER and regular emergency department units.
Responsibilities and Duties - Evaluate and manage 3-4 low acuity
patients per hour, including ankle sprains, stitches, and injuries
to wrists and major joints. - Perform timely complex laceration
repairs. - Conduct neonatal and pediatric assessments, including
for patients from the first day of life. - Interpret X-rays and
ensure adherence to established X-ray guidelines. - Provide
comprehensive care in the regular Emergency Department and the
Rapid Medical Evaluation (RME) fast track unit. - Manage patients
across varying acuity levels (soft 3s, 4s, and 5s). Additional
Information - Required Board Certifications: Family Medicine - EMR:
Epic - Must be proficient in neonatal and pediatric assessments
from the first day of life. - Ability to read X-rays and adhere to
appropriate guidelines. - Capability to work in both the Rapid
Medical Evaluation (RME) unit and the regular Emergency Department.
