responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the
organization's benefits strategy and programs (e.g., medical,
dental, wellness, vision, retirement savings, life insurance,
disability).
The Director is responsible for ensuring that the benefits programs
align with business objectives and comply with all applicable laws
and regulations.
In order to develop benefits programs that optimize costs, maintain
external competitiveness, and meet organizational goals, the
Director will stay abreast of best practices, plan offerings, and
providers.
They will work collaboratively with leaders across functional areas
on shared initiatives.
The Dir, Benefits will work closely with the PDS leadership team
defining organizational goals and strategic plans.
The Director will place emphasis on innovation in health and
wellness programs that underscores the team member experience and
reduces healthcare costs.ResponsibilitiesLeads the short term and
long term benefits strategy including design, implementation and
maintenance of benefits systems and programs for flawless
execution.
Directs the Benefits team in execution of PDS's various benefits
program including but not limited to healthcare, retirement and
leave plans, wellness and health education initiatives, and vendor
management.Evaluates current benefits strategy and ensures it
aligns with ever changing business needs, DEI vision and
organization structure.
Provides strategic leadership for the College Advancement Program
(100% tuition coverage) and expands its reach and eligibility to
more students by partnering with institutions and other PDS leaders
to identify and evaluate those opportunities.Analyzes benefit plan
utilization, program outcomes and develops recommendations for
action that balances market-competitive benefit packages with
financial affordability.Recommends new and/or improved national
benefit plan offerings through market research and detailed
financial impact analyses.Assists with developing and implementing
PDS's wellness strategy including but not limited to potential
commercialization of wellness programs to PDS supported offices'
patients where appropriate.
Ensures wellness programs are market competitive while also
aligning to the company's goals, strategy, and culture.Leads and
assists in executing the implementation of special projects
supporting the VP of People Services.Oversees annual benefit
enrollment process, wellness programs, benefits communication, and
relationships with external providers.Cultivates and communicates
programs that will better support PDS team members in their health
outcomes and reduce employer cost.Develops communication campaigns
designed to keep team members informed about company benefit plans,
wellness, and any proposed changes.Negotiates coverage, services
and costs with carriers and brokers.QualificationsBachelor's degree
in human resources, business, or equivalent experience.10+ years of
demonstrated experience and knowledge in human resources or related
discipline.Highly developed teambuilding, influencing, and
collaboration skills.Must have experience in self-insured and fully
insured environments.
PreferredMaster's degree in human resources or business, 15+ years'
experience in Human Resources or related discipline.
Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAdvanced knowledge of benefits programs
in complex organizations in self insured and fully insured
environments.
Leadership skillset that enables team skillset growth and builds
supported autonomy while developing long term (3-5 years)
goals.Ability to both lead strategically and rolls up sleeves to
work side by side with team.Strong analytical skills to ensure
proper evaluation of financial impact of various benefit offerings
now and in the future.
Advanced excel skills; ability to build, maintain, and optimize
complex spreadsheets and meaningful presentationsExecutive presence
and strong presentation skills as this role will interact and
present with C-level executives.Strong strategic thinking abilities
to understand and process complex information and exercise sound
judgement.Outstanding leadership skills; plus exceptional time
management and prioritization abilities.
Dedication to personal development and education.Ability to build
trust, create a win/win need for change, and recognize and
celebrate improvement to sustain change.Possesses "big picture"
perspective and able to accomplish that through proper level of
articulation across team.Strong quantitative, analytical skills,
verbal and written communication and relationship building

Strong strategic planning, organizing, leading and process
management knowledge.Demonstrated track record of developing and
sustaining effective and energized working relationships with
leaders to align people at all levels with PDS' strategic
